Next, choose the neighborhood council where you are applying to vote. If you live, work, own property or have a community interest in Mar Vista, select "Mar Vista CC (MVCC)".

For the Mar Vista Community Council elections, you must select which kind of ballot you will receive. If you live, work, or own property in Mar Vista, select the Zone where you are a stakeholder; if you're unsure which Zone to select, please see this map of the Mar Vista Community Council area. If you declare a community stake and do not live, work, or own property in Mar Vista, select Community Interest.

Since I am a stakeholder who lives in Zone 2, I have selected a Zone 2 ballot.

Next select your stakeholder type: Live, Work, Own Property, or Community Interest. Please note that you will be uploading supporting documentation later on in the process!

Scroll down and fill out your qualifying address--that is, the address where you live, work, or own property, or if you are a Community Interest stakeholder the address of the community organization with which you are affiliated--and your mailing address.

Since I live in Mar Vista, I provided the address where I live.

Next, you will upload your documentation to support your stakeholder status.

Click the "Select File" button, then find the file in the file explorer dialog window. Once the filename appears in the form, select the "Document Type" from the dropdown menu. Then click "Upload".

If you live in Mar Vista, a California driver's license or identification card with your current address is sufficient, though you may opt to supply further proof of your stakeholder status such as a mortgage statement or rental receipt, homeowner's or renter's insurance, or a utility bill.

If you work or own property in Mar Vista, or declare a community interest, you must provide further documentation in your application. Otherwise, skip ahead to submit!

Here is a non-exhaustive list of acceptable forms of documentation for the various stakeholder types. For a more complete list, please see the official NC elections documentation guide.
